I recently made the very personal and difficult decision to close Ballotin’s Newburyport storefront. Ballotin has been a dream realized for me and an extraordinary chocolate adventure, one that I’ve truly enjoyed taking with you and our team. Despite our great good fortune at having an amazing local customer base and wonderful reviews in the press, continuing in a traditional retail setting in the current environment is not where our business opportunity lies. I have enjoyed getting to know many of you through the store, talking with you, laughing with you, and learning from you. Thank you for all.
Ballotin may evolve and return in another form or place. For now, I will focus efforts on a blog, Ballotin partnerings, and an online presence. At the very least, I will continue the chocolate adventure online on this blog. Please drop in, say hello, and check out what’s new in the chocolate world (as well as discover some fabulous recipes for the holidays)!

Fixtures, such as cabinets and tables, can be purchased this Thurs 9/23 through Saturday 9/26 and next Friday 10/2 & Saturday 10/3. Larger items can be reserved or purchased this week, and picked up on Friday 10/2 & Saturday 10/3.
